Book #1 A Great and Terrible Beauty

This book is off to a great start! I think I'll even bring it to the gym with me tomorrow!
Gemma, the main character, is easy to identify with but still has moments that set her apart from the usual female character. I've enjoyed reading the beginning that started off in India, the imagery has been an absolute dream so far! I can truly "see" everything that's been presented to me. Stay tuned for more on AGATB!

The Pitch

So, here's the whole deal in a nut shell:
500 Books+All the time a high school grad has= One Interesting "Summer"

I graduate on June 8, 2010. Which means as soon as June 9th rolls around, I'll have already started one of the 500 books on my list. You're welcome to join me, in fact I welcome you with open arms because committing to read even one book is a worthy adventure in itself! I'll review the first 1/3 of the book, the middle section, and then the final 1/3 of the book. You don't have to review anything, but a simple comment on whether you liked the book or not or even if you found my review helpful would be great too!

I'll also be giving recipes or snacks I eat, create, and/or find during the time because what's a good book without a good snack to munch on while you read?

Anyways, come back for the list of the first 100 of the 500 Books!!
